FFF sponsors training workshop aiming to induce social action and civic change
 
 

3 June 2010, The Foundation for the Future sponsored a training workshop and public forum organized by Amman Institute aiming toward  encouraging  social action and civic change through targeting community activists.

The objective of the training was to address Jordan community leaders and activists by  training them on the ways and tools needed to become a more efficient community leaders.

 More than 25 Jordan’s active members of the community with strong influence on their own societies and localities participated in the workshop that was followed with a public talk by Marshall Ganz; advisor to the Obama Campaign on organizing and leadership development  &  Professor at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

 The talk was entitled “People, Leadership and Change”, tackled the issues of community change mobilization, civic organization and collective action. In his talks, Ganz focused on the issues of leadership, community building, power, shared values and interests and how to mobilize these factors to develop a strategy for commitment and action; his recipe for the success of the Obama Campaign.
